The Oscar Micheaux Program is a community based intergenerational repertoire theatre group that performs two historic/cultural awareness projects titled, “The Harlem Renaissance Revisited With a Boston Flavor and From Gospel to Hip-Hop and All in Between.” It will use theater training and the history of the Harlem Renaissance Era and the struggles of some of the characters from that Era to teach the importance of cultural identification and positive character development. The cast will be composed of youth and adults from ages eight to eighty.

The program is based at the Blackstone Community Center located at 50 West Brookline St. in the South End
